CDMCS thanks 3M’s Shari Franklin Smith, CIH, CSP and Jessica Hauge CIH, CSP for sharing with CDMCS members 3M’s suite of COVID-19 personal protective equipment (PPE).  Their recent presentation covered an in-depth comparison between respirators and masks, new hearing protection and communication headsets for social distancing, protective eyewear, decontamination methods for respirators and other critical PPE, fit-testing hygiene, and a summary of updated federal guidance for COVID-19 in the workplace, especially in construction. Dredgers and marine construction contractors are part of the Nation’s essential infrastructure workforce.
