CDMCS and U.S. Army Corps Stand Up Training Task Force

CDMCS members and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) convened in person and virtually in record numbers earlier this month in Savannah to discuss the state of safety for the dredging and marine construction industry. USACE gave an excellent summary of safety incident trends over the past five years, and Dr. Lakhmir Chawla returned for another engaging talk on COVID-19 with his predictions for the months ahead.

The CDMCS Training Task Force was officially stood up and has already hit the ground running on strengthening safety training and onsite orientation and hazard awareness with an initial emphasis on upland placement and beach nourishment best practices.

Join us this September 15-16 in Washington, DC, for our Annual Meeting and Leadership in Safety Awards Dinner as we celebrate safety excellence in the dredging industry. Connect with your peers to advance our industry as a global leader in safety.
